Terms of Service

1. What JobTone Does

JobTone provides AI-powered call management for tradespeople and small businesses. We give you a virtual business phone number that answers calls, records voicemails, transcribes messages, and sends automated SMS replies to your callers.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must provide accurate information when signing up. One account per person or business entity.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use JobTone to:

  • Send spam, unsolicited marketing, or bulk messages
  • Engage in any illegal activity
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse callers
  • Resell the service without permission
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. SMS Consent & Opt-Out

When a caller reaches your JobTone voicemail, they may receive a single automated SMS confirming their call was received. This is a transactional message initiated by the caller placing a phone call to your business number.

Callers can reply STOP at any time to opt out of receiving messages from your number. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on call volume.

5. Payments & Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. You can cancel anytime through your account settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months.

Phone numbers provisioned through JobTone incur costs via Twilio. If your subscription lapses, phone numbers may be released after a 30-day grace period.

6. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. JobTone depends on third-party services (Twilio, OpenAI, Stripe) and is subject to their availability. We are not liable for missed calls, undelivered messages, or transcription errors.

7. Limitation of Liability

JobTone is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including lost revenue from missed calls or messages.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
