1. What We Collect

When you use JobTone, we collect:

• Account information (email address, business name, trade type)
• Phone numbers you provision through our service
• Call metadata (caller number, time, duration, city/state)
• Voicemail recordings and transcriptions
• Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we never store card numbers)

2. How We Use It

We use your data to:

• Provide call management, voicemail, and SMS reply services
• Transcribe voicemails using AI (OpenAI Whisper)
• Display call history and analytics on your dashboard
• Process subscription payments
• Send transactional SMS to your callers on your behalf

3. SMS & Calling

When someone calls your JobTone number and reaches voicemail, we may send a single automated SMS reply on your behalf confirming the call was received. Callers can reply STOP at any time to opt out of future messages. Message and data rates may apply.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate:

• Twilio — phone numbers, voice calls, and SMS
• OpenAI — voicemail transcription and analysis
• Stripe — payment processing
• Clerk — authentication and account management

Each service has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

5. Data Retention

We retain your call records and voicemail transcriptions for as long as your account is active. Voicemail audio recordings are stored by Twilio. When you delete your account, we remove your data within 30 days.

6. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), validate all webhook signatures, and never store payment credentials. Access to production systems is restricted and credentials are managed via environment variables.

7. Your Rights

You can export or delete your data at any time by contacting us at hello@jobtone.io. If you are in California or the EU, you have additional rights under CCPA/GDPR — reach out and we will accommodate your request.
